Paying for something online from a name you have not heard of takes a leap of faith. This page exists so you do not have to take one. It is maintained by the GuruMap team and describes exactly how the service, the payments and your data work today — it is not an independent certification.
One-time payment — no subscription, ever
Your plan simply stops at the end of the period you paid for. We never store a silent recurring charge and we never bill you again without you choosing to.
We never see your card
Payments run through Stripe's PCI-DSS Level 1 checkout. Card numbers never touch GuruMap servers. Refunds and payment methods are managed in Stripe's own billing portal.
A named person, in a real place
GuruMap is operated by Adrian Dima, an independent sole trader based in Ireland. We are not anonymous, and you can always reach a human at support@gurumap.org.
Your trips are yours
Every table holding your data uses row-level security, so only your account can read or write your trips. We do not sell personal data to anyone.

Half Pack €7 for 30 days, Full Pack €17 for 30 days, Pro Traveler Pack €100 for a full year — each a one-time payment. What you see is what you pay, and every pack's contents are listed in full before checkout.
Who we are
GuruMap is a criteria-based travel planner available at gurumap.org as a web app and an installable mobile app. It is built and operated by Adrian Dima, an independent sole trader based in Ireland — not a limited company (yet), not a marketplace reseller, and not affiliated with Guru Maps (gurumaps.app), which is a separate product from a different company.

How billing actually works
- You choose a pack and pay once, for that period only.
- Checkout is hosted by Stripe. GuruMap receives a confirmation, never your card number.
- Every Plan Pack is a one-time payment for a fixed term — there is no subscription and no automatic renewal. When the term ends, access to paid features stops until you decide to buy again. Nothing is charged in the background.
- You can review or change payment details any time through Stripe's billing portal, launched in-app.
- Prices are shown in full before you confirm. See the Refund Policy for cancellations.
How your data is handled
- All traffic is served over HTTPS; data at rest is encrypted on managed infrastructure.
- Row-level security means your trips, criteria and saved spots are readable only by your account.
- Reviews and contest photos are public by design — only their author can edit or delete them.
- We use strictly necessary cookies only. No advertising trackers, and we never sell personal data.

Spotting the real GuruMap
The only official domain is gurumap.org. Our only support address is support@gurumap.org, and our only social accounts are Instagram @gurumaptravel and our Facebook page. We will never ask you for your password, and we will never request payment by bank transfer, gift card or crypto. If you see anything doing so in our name, please report it to us.
Reporting a problem
Security issue, billing question, or something that just looks wrong? Email support@gurumap.org — we aim to reply within 24 hours. For suspected vulnerabilities, please include reproduction steps and give us reasonable time to fix the issue before disclosing it publicly.
Your part
Keep your account credentials private, use a strong unique password, and tell us promptly about anything suspicious on your account. We will always meet you halfway.
