Refund Policy

1. Overview

GuruMap is a monthly digital subscription. This policy explains your refund rights under EU consumer law (Directive 2011/83/EU) and how we handle refunds in practice.

2. 14-day withdrawal right

As an EU consumer you normally have 14 days from purchase to withdraw from a distance contract for digital services without giving any reason.

3. Immediate-access waiver (important)

GuruMap unlocks paid features immediately after payment. By clicking Choose Half Pack or Choose Full Pack at checkout, you:

1. expressly request that we begin providing the service immediately, before the 14-day withdrawal period ends;
2. acknowledge that once the service has been fully performed (i.e. you have used it), you lose your right of withdrawal for that period.

This is your explicit prior consent as required by Article 16(m) of Directive 2011/83/EU.

4. When refunds are given

• Not used yet: if you haven't performed any paid action (no criteria saved, no spots discovered, no manual pins added, no map layers opened) since your last renewal, you can request a full refund within 14 days.
• Already used: once you have used the service in a billing period, that period is non-refundable (as per Section 3).
• Service failure on our side: if the service was unavailable for a substantial part of a billing period due to a fault on our end, we will refund pro-rata.
• Accidental double-billing: always fully refunded.

5. How to request a refund

1. Open your account and click Manage subscription to open the Stripe billing portal.
2. Cancel any active subscription so you are not billed again.
3. Email gurumapapp@gmail.com from your account email with the subject line "Refund request" and the invoice number.
4. We reply within 5 business days. Approved refunds are issued to the original payment method within 5–10 business days.

6. Cancellation

Cancelling stops future renewals. You keep access until the end of the current paid period. Cancellation on its own is not a refund.

7. Statutory rights

Nothing in this policy limits your non-waivable rights as a consumer under Irish and EU law.
