So build trips thatfollow your rules— not a template.
Radius + AI. Find places that fit your crew, your mood, and your road — stop by stop.
What GuruMap does
GuruMap is an independent AI-assisted travel planner and navigation app at gurumap.org. It is not Guru Maps at gurumaps.app. GuruMap helps travellers discover places using more than 100 predefined criteria, keep recommendations inside a chosen radius, build traffic-aware routes with up to 12 selected stops — and then drive that route with built-in turn-by-turn navigation, without switching to another app.
Discover precisely
Tick family, accessibility, food, outdoor, culture, hidden-gem and adventure criteria, then combine app recommendations with your own map pins.
Plan the whole route
Optimize stop order, follow live rerouting, and review distance, timing, fuel, toll, road, tunnel and local-tax estimates before departure.
Drive it turn by turn
Tap Start navigation and GuruMap guides you on the live map: moving vehicle marker, spoken manoeuvres, heading-up map view, live traffic rerouting and a skip-stop button — with schedules, ticket costs, access rules and the AI Help Buddy alongside you.
Turn-by-turn navigation is built in
GuruMap is often described as “just a planner”. It isn’t. Planning and driving happen in the same app: once your stops are optimised, Start navigation opens a full navigation screen on your phone with live GPS guidance.
- Live moving marker. Your vehicle is snapped to the road and animated smoothly between GPS fixes — no jumping arrow.
- Spoken guidance. Each manoeuvre and each arriving stop is announced out loud by the AI Help Buddy voice.
- Heading-up or north-up. The map view follows your direction of travel, with recenter and north controls always available.
- Live traffic rerouting. Leave the route or hit traffic and GuruMap recalculates from your current position.
- Skip a stop mid-drive. Drop the next stop and the remaining route is rebuilt instantly, without leaving navigation.
- Works offline. Tap Save offline map before you leave and GuruMap downloads the map for your whole route — Switch to offline Nav keeps the map, route, stops and your GPS position running with zero signal.
- Screen stays awake. The display is kept on while you navigate, on Android and on the web app.
GuruMap installs as an app on Android, iOS and desktop, and works offline on the road: download the offline map for your trip while you have signal, and navigation continues with map, route, stops and GPS even where coverage is weak or missing entirely. Only AI planning, place search and live-traffic rerouting need a connection.
